1. How long have you known the nominee and how did you come to know him or her? Lucy Hansen has been serving as Lead Librarian since 1998. She was in this position when I came to the district as Superintendent in 2001.  Throughout my tenure, Lucy has demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to the 2,436 predominantly Hispanic students, 200 teachers and staff members and countless parents and community members that use the resources of our Biblioteca Las Americas in Mercedes, Texas. I think Jeff should win the award because he always goes above and beyond to help each student or faculty member he comes in contact with. 2. There comes a time when we all need someone to help us when it seems as though we are just not going to make it.  That was me, and as time passed many more just like me walked onto the Bainbridge campus, but to my own and so many others good fortune there was Jeff waiting for each of us to lend his skill and his confidence when mine waned so desperately.  He is like a secret friend that never lets you down. 1. How long have you known the nominee and how did you come to know him or her? I have known Jean Amaral since she first interviewed for the Research Librarian position open at Antioch University New England (ANE) in early 2006. Out of the three finalists I met, she was the one I recommended to be hired. READ MORE
