I Love My Librarian Award

Congratulations to this year's winners of the I Love My Librarian Award!

Thank you to all the library supporters who sent in nominations. More than 1,850 library users submitted stories highlighting how their librarians had above and beyond in their communities. Winners were selected for their outstanding public service accomplishments.

This year's honorees will each receive a $5,000 cash prize, a $750 donation to their library, and complimentary registration to ALA’s 2021 Virtual Midwinter Meeting & Exhibits. The virtual award ceremony will take place during the conference at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 23, 2021, and will be streamed on the American Library Association YouTube channel. Please join us to celebrate these 10 extraordinary librarians.

Carnegie Corporation of New York generously sponsors the I Love My Librarian Award. The New York Public Library also supports the award. ALA administers the award through its Communications and Marketing Office, which promotes the value of libraries and librarians.
