Booklist Just Announced Free Online Access for All

Covers of recent issues of Booklist Magazine

Good news for bibliophiles everywhere: Booklist, the American Library Association’s book review magazine, is giving away free access to all its online content.

“The COVID-19 threat is unprecedented and will continue to cause extreme disruption,” explained George Kendall, editor and publisher of Booklist Publications. “We want to help minimize these disruptions where we can for all library staff along with their students and patrons.”

For more than a century, Booklist has provided trusted book reviews for librarians and library users. Their reviewers—many of whom are librarians themselves—share expert opinions about the best print and audiobooks for youth and adults. Now, anyone can read and search from their vast database of reviews, interviews, and reading lists.

If you’re trying to decide what eBooks and audiobooks to check out electronically from your local library, head to the Booklist website to find awesome recommendations. You can find even more reading suggestions from their blog, Booklist Reader.

Stay up to date on the latest Booklist content by subscribing to their newsletter, the Booklist Reader Update.
